Rain was upset by the feel of the rope and chose to pull away. But I kept interrupting her thought to leave and when she checked in with me I became as quiet and reassuring as I could be.
If people want to quote a study that has holes in it, it is fine to do so provided it is made clear that it is a theory. Maybe later work will confirm or refute the theory. But it is still a theory until proven false. It is not a fact.
We only have so much conscious focus our brains can commit to. If you are doing a single task you could argue that it has 100% of your attention. But nobody does a single task and nobody commits 100%.
Horses don’t care about being straight and balanced. No horse spends time worrying about how it could be straighter and move with more balance. They don’t even know they are crooked and there is a better way.
