At a clinic a few days ago I was helping my friend Claire and her mare, Kiv with some groundwork. Claire was getting her thoughts together as she asked Kiv a question. Then to my surprise and amusement Claire made the quote of the year (so far). She said, “Hold on Kiv. I’m not ready yet.”
In her own way, Kiv was doing a brilliant job of teaching Claire to get ready before asking a question of her horse.
We should all be so lucky to have instructors of the quality of Kiv.
